Which schools do you pick up from?

Every school within 5 miles of our Cupertino location. That covers the 16 Cupertino Union elementary schools, Collins, Sedgwick, Faria, Garden Gate, Lincoln, Stevens Creek, Eaton, De Vargas, Dilworth, Murdock Portal, Stocklmeir, Nimitz, Eisenhower, West Valley, Montclaire, and Blue Hills, and the private schools in the same area, including St. Joseph of Cupertino, Queen of Apostles, Stratford, Silicon Valley Academy, French American, Challenger, BASIS, South Peninsula, St. Justin, Sacred Heart, St. Simon, Sunnyvale Christian, and Rossinca Heritage. Families outside our pickup area are welcome to enroll and arrange their own drop-off.

What happens on early dismissal days?

Nothing changes for the after school. Your child is picked up at their earlier dismissal time and arrives before 2:30. The program runs as normal until 6:30.

Do I pay less in a month with fewer school days?

Accepted Answer

No. Tuition is a fixed monthly amount. It stays the same whether the month has 15 school days or 22.

Question 4

What is the $150 materials fee?

It covers everything your child builds and takes home: circuits, breadboards, makerspace builds, 3D prints, and art projects. Your child owns what they make. Shared equipment such as 3D printers, tools, and board games, etc, stays with the school.

What happens in the summer?

Tuition runs year round. You can stay enrolled through the summer, when the program moves onto summer programming, or pause and return in the fall. Enrolled students receive a discount on school break and summer camps, which are registered separately.

Is my child guaranteed a spot?

There are 26 seats per classroom. Seats are held once the subscription starts, in the order registrations come in.

Do you take Kindergarten?

Not at launch. The program is Grades 1 to 5 until a second room is available.

What if my child has a food allergy?

Accepted Answer

Snacks we serve are nut free and soy free. Food from home is welcome. We keep nut free tables and students do not share food. Tell us about any allergy on the intake form.

Can my child do robotics without the after school?

Yes. We run robotics classes at Cupertino schools and standalone classes at our academy. See the Robotics page.

What happens during school breaks?

The program runs and tuition continues. The one difference is there is no pickup service those weeks, because there is no school to collect from, so parents drop off.

What if I am late at pickup?

There is a five minute grace period. From 6:35 it is one dollar per minute, added to your next payment.

Who is allowed to pick up my child?

Accepted Answer

Only the people you list at registration, and they must be 18 or older. We check photo ID. Email us to add someone.

Who is with my child?

Accepted Answer

Our staff are fingerprinted through the California Department of Justice and trained as mandated reporters, and two adults are present with students.
