This is a 10 in one robot that is made very sturdy and robust. Good for students older than 8 or 9. Some smaller parts but gives a more realistic experience that a real robot platform would. We have used these in our classes in the past.
Makeblock mBot Neo
This is the new version of the basic mBot. We used the previous version in our classes in the past. This is a good platform because it's robust and sturdy and the pricepoint is great. With the help of a parent, it is a good choice for home use.
This platform is good because it's pretty straightforward how it connects to the ipad or computer. We have adapted the firmware to work with more versatile software in our camps, but it's a great platform to learn and build.
This robot is great for younger students grades K-2. We used to use these in after school classes. The robot has the capability to build on top of the existing frame, so students can get in the flow of creating that way. iPad functionality is pretty straight forward as well. Great for home use.
