Intro to Robotics

(Grades 3-6) This well rounded camp track mission takes students on a mission to explore all of our robotic platforms including but not limited to; EV3, Vex, Cozmo, Dash, Cubelets, and more… Student will be introduced to the programming and engineering of some of the most amazing educational robots to date. Students will be involved in some exciting and engaging challenges with programming, robot games, and engineering throughout this track. Students who choose this track will become certified as completing the Intro to Robotics and Programming Track Mission.

The Robotics Competition Week 1

(Grades 3-6) In this competitive camp track mission, students will learn the fundamentals of the EV3 programming software, and VEX Robotics software and hardware, as well as advanced programming concepts, loop, If, then; else, nested loops, wait, parallel programs, multi sensor programs, engineering challenges, FLL and VEX Robotics competition challenges, various line follow programs, gyro sensor programing and more. This camp is focused on our EV3 and VEX platforms with an emphasis on robotics competition strategy, programming and engineering secrets to be used in competition.

The Robotics Competition Week 2

Sumo and Battle Bots

(Grades 3-6) In this fast paced camp track mission, students build various battle robots and compete with their creations in an epic week of robot wars! Kids will be able to build different types of Battle Bots as well as SUMO bots and compete with programming as well as control. This track uses proprietary building plans made from some of the best Lego engineers in the world, yet leaves much room for individual creativity and building skills. SUMO competitions follow strict SUMO competition guidelines as outlined in SuGObot rules and regulations.

Droid Builders

(Grades 3-6) In this useful camp track mission, students build various astromech droids and learn to program their robots to perform with autonomous behaviors and tasks. This track uses the EV3 and VEX Robotics platforms. Students will create and build up to 2 different robots throughout the week and compete in missions that showcase the strengths and weaknesses of their designs using autonomous programming as well as controlling functions of motors. This camp is centered around the building of the droids and competition of their droids within various multi faceted gaming scenarios.

The Autonomous Vehicle

(Grades 3-6) This camp track mission will focus on the building and use of the electric autonomous automobile. Students will learn about batteries, hardware / firmware, and the programming of the autonomous vehicle using sensors, obstacle avoidance, navigation, object detection and more… Students will also learn about autonomous driving, self driving cars, and the various levels of autonomous navigation. This track uses various robotics platforms including but not limited to EV3, Dash/Cue, and VEX Robotics.

Humanoid Robotics, Working Robots, Service Bots, and Factory Automation

(Grades 3-6) In this innovative camp track mission, students will build and program Humanoid Animatronic Robotics heads, Omni Directional Robots, and Mechanical Arms which together create machines that can perform job related functions in a number of settings within the workplace such as food/restaurant service workers, airline attendants, factory workers, and more. Students will also build service bots that can help or aid people to complete tasks such as cleaning, retrieving items, and entering hazardous areas otherwise dangerous for humans. Programming concepts such as acceleration and deceleration, a.i. decision tree program, and more...

Ultimate Robot Gaming Extravaganza! 

(Grades 3-6) In this high energy camp, students will strategize by using various robotic platforms to program and control their machines in 3 dimensional gaming environments. Students will use robotics along with programming skills and modern gaming techniques to compete with other students. Variables, probability, resource gathering, cooperative gaming, dexterity, strategy and tactics are just a few of the various techniques used within the robot gaming atmosphere.

*Because of allergies and liability for allergies, students will need to bring a packed lunch and snacks to camp.*

**All camps are designed for beginners and intermediate students. If your student has more experience in robotics than other students, our camps can accommodate any level of understanding with variations in our robotic builds and programming challenges within all camps.**
